Organized by the ever-talented Bec Bannings at St Benards Hotel , this wedding was a beautiful blend of tradition, creativity, and heartfelt emotion. Kristen and Mitch organised their day in a way that worked for them, and made getting the perfect photos stress free! The day began with a first look, a private and intimate moment where Kristen and Mitch saw each other for the first time before the ceremony. What a stunning wedding it has been together with Andy (A Thousand Miles Photography) At the Old Church, Tamborine Mountain, one of the first weddings since The Grand Chameleon's opening.

Stepping into the Old Church Venue up on Tamborine Mountain with my camera gear, I'm like a kid in a candy store, ready to capture some epic wedding magic! This place oozes history and romance from every nook and cranny – we're talking Gazebo, Love Heart Deck, Iron & Wisteria Courtyard, and even a fancy Roman area with Italian lion bouncers.

So, here's the deal – I'm not just a videographer; I'm your love story DJ. I'm all about capturing those belly laughs, teary-eyed Aunt Mildred moments, and those "oh my gosh, did you see that?!" dance moves. And guess what? Hops and Harmony is an amazing local project in South East Queensland by Jamie Lee Wilson, going from venue to venue teaching locals to sing a song together over one fun filled night!

H & H is an opportunity for everyone to get together in a relaxed environment and sing your heart out! This is an event for the community to sing, have a drink and be social. No previous experience required. You don’t need to be able to read music and there’s nothing to prepare. You’ll be taught the song, just come along and have fun!

There’s no need for previous experience or music-reading skills, anyone can join in. Lets sing, drink and be social. I love supporting local events and initiatives to get people coming out to have fun in their community, and this was an amazing event to film!

The creator of Hops and Harmony is Jamie Lee Wilson (aka JVMIE), a Billboard & Aria charting singer/songwriter and artist and graduate of the QLD Conservatorium of Music. THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE! �� I'll never forget Kara and Mitchell's alternative wedding filled with flames, "hell yeah's", and lots of love.

How awesome is this couple! When Kara walked in with a flaming headdress, I knew we were in for a wild ride. Then I got proved right sooner than I expected when Kara's mother's hair (briefly) caught on fire, and she patted it away and kept on going! Their celebrant started the ceremony with "Welcome to the kickass wedding of these absolute legends" and with that we proceeded to have one of the best weddings ever. These legends had a soft side, check out their adorable ring bearer puppy and adorable family photos in the wedding video below. This couple and their loved ones said Hell Yeah to their love and I'm so glad I got to shoot their kick ass day!

Kiris, originally from New Zealand, chose to tie the knot in Queensland because most of her family is based here. Too early and bright sun can be in people's eyes during family photos, too late in the day and all the photos will require bright artificial lighting. (Which is a specific aesthetic that some people love!) Each option offers its own enchantment and ambiance, and in this blog post, I will share insights from my experiences to help you decide on the best time of day to have your wedding.

Day/Afternoon Photoshoots:

Weddings that take place during the day have a charm all their own, filled with warmth, natural light, and a fresh, vibrant atmosphere. Beautiful Family Wedding at the Gorgeous Albert River Wines Vineyard

Janelle and Greg's wedding at Albert River Wines was so lovely. This lovely couple wanted to include their kids as they joined their families together in their big day, making it an unforgettable celebration of love and togetherness. The venue, Albert River Wines, is such a stunning spot, located at the bottom of Tamborine Mountain. The rolling hills and vineyards provided the perfect atmosphere for this intimate, family-oriented wedding. It was a picture-perfect setting that perfectly matched Janelle and Greg's vision for their special day. The wedding ceremony was held outside, under a rustic arch adorned with the most amazing floral arrangement I've seen in a long time.

In a really lovely gesture, Janelle's daughter and Janelle's father walked her down the aisle together. Janelle and Greg's children stood beside them as they exchanged their heartfelt vows, making the ceremony even more meaningful and emotional. There were tears and laughter throughout the ceremony, as everyone in attendance felt the love and connection that was present. After the ceremony, we took advantage of the stunning location for some unforgettable family photos. Throughout the day, it was clear that Janelle and Greg's love for each other and their family was at the heart of everything. Rainforest Engagement Photoshoot on Tamborine Mountain

I love when I get asked to capture the love and joy between couples during their engagement photoshoots, it's such a great way to get the couple more comfortable with me and posing before their wedding day, Recently, I had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful engagement session at some of my favourite spots on Tamborine Mountain, and it was nothing short of magical.

Tamborine Mountain is located in the Scenic Rim region of Queensland, Australia, and it boasts some of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the country. (As a mountain resident, I admit I am a bit biased) In my free time I love discovering new waterfalls, and I've even got a secret spot that you can't find on the typical tourist maps. It was great to get to share these spots with Rick and Leshira for their engagement photoshoot.

They were both so in love, and their chemistry was undeniable. We started the shoot at Curtis Falls, which is a one of the most recognizable spots on Tamborine Mountain. It’s a short walk through the forest to reach the waterfall, and the trek was worth it for the breathtaking views we encountered. The waterfall has a shallow pool, and we captured some of the most romantic shots of the couple sitting on the rocks with the water cascading down behind them.

Next I took the couple to my favourite secret waterfall on the mountain, this couple was definitely up for an adventure! This waterfall is a bit smaller than the others, but it’s just as beautiful. The dense foliage around it creates an peaceful atmosphere, which was perfect for capturing some of the most intimate moments between the couple. We got some gorgeous shots of them embracing each other, with the waterfall in the background.

We ended the shoot at the venue of their upcoming wedding at Cedar Creek Estate with a romantic picnic. Cedar Creek Estate is a leafy vineyard estate, which makes it a great place for any outdoor photoshoot. All in all, the engagement session was a ton of fun, and I couldn't have asked for a better couple to work with. "Lets Fly to Australia and Get Married!" A Destination Wedding on the Beach

Too cute for words! Kay and Gary are from the UK, and they but have some family connections in Australia. They knew they wanted to have a destination wedding, somewhere that was special to them both. After much consideration, they decided on Australia. Kay dreamed of getting married on a beautiful beach, and Gary loved the idea of having their wedding in a place that was different from home. The couple brought their family from the UK to join them for the wedding. (How's that for a family vacation!?) The wedding took place on the beautiful McMahon's beach near in Tweed Head's, NSW, just over the Queensland border.

The couple exchanged vows on the sand, with the sound of the waves in the background. Their family members had flown thousands of miles to be there and were delighted to witness the couple's special moment.

After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a beautiful reception at the Greenmount Beach Surf Club .

Destination weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and it's easy to see why. They allow couples to create unique, memorable experiences that their guests will never forget. Beach wedding: South East Queensland is known for its beautiful beaches, so why not have a beach wedding? There are many great spots to choose from, such as Burleigh Heads, Noosa, or the Gold Coast. Just be sure to check any local regulations and obtain the necessary permits.
Garden wedding: If you prefer a more traditional setting, consider a garden wedding. South East Queensland has many beautiful gardens to choose from, such as the Brisbane Botanic Gardens or the Roma Street Parklands. These locations can provide a stunning backdrop for your special day.

Picnic Proposal on the Beach in Gold Coast, QLD

Tamita had no idea that Tom had carefully worked with me and Pop Up Event Co . to organise a surprise for her as they walked along the beach on their way to dinner... They came across a beautiful picnic (and me hidden in the bushes again). The picnic had a letter addressed to her on it- Tom had previously organized and sent this to Pop Up Event Co. ahead of time. When she opened it, it was a wedding RSVP with her and Toms names on it. (How romantic can you get!) It was at this point Tom was able to drop to his knee and ask her to marry him- She said yes!

How to find the perfect Celebrant for your Wedding

So you're getting married and you're on the hunt for the perfect celebrant to officiate your big day. But where do you even begin? With so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to try and narrow it down to just one celebrant.

First things first, it's important to remember that your celebrant is going to be responsible for helping you create and lead the ceremony of your dreams. They'll be the one leading you down the aisle, or virtual aisle as the case may be these days, and guiding you through your vows. So it's crucial to choose someone who aligns with your vision and values, and who you feel comfortable with.

One way to start your search is to ask around for recommendations from friends and family who have gotten married recently. Chances are, they'll be able to give you some solid leads on celebrants they loved working with. You can also check out online directories and wedding websites to get a feel for what's out there in your area.

Once you have a list of potential celebrants, it's time to do some digging. Check out their websites and social media profiles to get a sense of their personality and style. Do they seem like someone you could see yourself laughing and crying with on your big day? Do they offer the type of ceremony you're envisioning, whether that's a traditional religious service or a more laid-back, non-traditional celebration?

It's also a good idea to reach out to your top picks and see if they're available on your wedding date. If they are, request a meeting or phone call to chat about your vision for the ceremony and see if you hit it off. How did you and your partner meet?

We met in grade 11 Chemistry class at high school! Which was 11 years ago!

How did you know they were “The One”?

We have been together for such a long time now, it’s hard to really remember. I just know that every time I look at him I see everything that we have to look forward to. I can’t imagine my life without him.

Which Bertossi Brides gown did you choose and how did you know it was your “Dream Dress”?

I chose “Olivia” or maybe I should say “Olivia” chose me?! When I walked in and started looking around I saw my dream dress! With no label on the dress, Gill informed me that Anne had just finished making it. I could not believe the day I came in was “Olivia’s” first day on the floor! Talk about fate!! I was very lucky to be the first Bertossi bride to try on and wear the gown. So following the Paddington Weddings tradition the gown was

named after me! The simplicity, elegance and the cowl on the dress made me fall in love with it every time I got to try it on. I feel like this dress will never date, it’s such a dream to wear and is so beautifully made.

Tell us about your experience at Paddington Weddings?

My experience has been flawless from start to finish! From finding my dream dress, to the precise in-house alterations, to picking up my “Olivia”. The process has been so fun and easy. They were very accommodating in customising the design to exactly what I envisaged. I can not speak highly enough of Anne, Gill and the whole Paddington Weddings team on their professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you all so very
